The October data shows:

  • on average, house prices have fallen 0.7% since September 2023
  • there has been an annual price fall of 1.2% which makes the average property in the UK valued at 288,000

England

In England the October data shows, on average, house prices have fallenby 0.8% since September 2023. The annual price fall of 1.4% takes the average property value to 306,000.

The regional data for England indicates that:

  • the South West experienced the greatest monthly rise with a movement of 0.9%
  • London saw the lowest monthly price growth, with a fall of 3.1%
  • the North East experienced the greatest annual price rise, up by 0.2%
  • London saw the lowest annual price growth, with a fall of 3.6%
