Business customers can use HM Land Registry information services to get information faster and more cheaply than by post.

Information services

Information Services you can access include:

  • MapSearch (portal only)
    search an online map to check if land and property in England and Wales is registered, get title numbers and find out if tenure is freehold or leasehold
  • Request official copies
    submit a request for official copies of registers, title plans and documents
  • Official search of part with priority
  • Official search of whole without priority
  • Official search of whole with priority
  • Search of the index map
  • Home rights search
  • Outline application
    lodge an outline application (OLA) to get a reserved period to lodge an application for a registrable disposition that cant be protected by an official search
  • Application enquiry (portal and Business Gateway)
    check your current applications lodged with HM Land Registry
  • Day list enquiry (Business Gateway only)
    check your current applications lodged with HM Land Registry
  • Search of the index of relating franchises and manors
  • Enquiry by property description
    title view
  • Register view
    view a title register as PDF or HTML, print and view the day list for that title
  • Title plan view
    view a title plan as a PDF and print it
  • Document view
    view a document as a PDF and print or save it

How to get access

You need to complete an application for Business e-services and agree to the Conditions of use.

You will also get access to our electronic Document Registration Service (e-DRS).

There is no fee to sign up to Business e-services, but you must have at least one Variable Direct Debit account to pay fees for the services you use.
