Details

The UK runs 2 resettlement schemes for Afghans to move to the UK:

  • the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) and

  • the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP)

From the end of April 2023, Afghans who are currently living in hotels/temporary accommodation under these 2 schemes will be given 3 months notice to leave their accommodation.

To help Afghans find their own accommodation, information available to them includes a letter about the changes to the Enhanced Matching Process in English, Dari and Pashto.

More resources, to be published here soon, will include a leaflet about support on offer from local authorities, partners and community groups.
