Details

The Home Secretary has published the report of part 1 of the Angiolini Inquiry today, Thursday 29 February.

Part 1 of the inquiry has focussed on examining Wayne Couzens career and previous behaviour.

The report establishes a definitive account of his conduct, behaviour and performance leading up to his conviction, and describes the red flags and opportunities that were missed.

The report makes 16 recommendations designed to ensure that everything possible is being done to prevent those entrusted with the power of the office of constable from abusing that power.
