The total quantity of landings by UK vessels decreased in July 2023 compared to 2022, down 4 per cent. The value of landings in July 2023 (61.7m) also decreased compared to 2022 down by 14 per cent.

Landings in July 2023 comprised mostly of Shellfish species (36 per cent). Shellfish species also comprised the majority of the value landed (53 per cent). However, when compared to July 2022 both quantity and the value of Shellfish landings were down 12 per cent and 19 per cent respectively.
