This document sets out the governments 10-year strategy for womens health in England.

It details the:

  • governments ambitions over the next 10 years
  • actions we are taking now to improve the health and wellbeing of women and girls in England

From March to June 2021, the government held a call for evidence to inform the development of the first Womens Health Strategy for England. Analysis of the call for evidence consultation response has informed the development of this document.

This document builds on Our Vision for the Womens Health Strategy for England, which was published in December 2021.

  1. Withdrew command paper 710 and replaced with command paper 736. Amendments include factual corrections to lines on the General Medical Councils Medical Licensing Assessment (section 1 and 8), the list of 9 gynaecological procedures for which the Getting it Right First Time programme are developing consent guidance (section 3 and 11), and the percentage of men and women who are obese (section 17).
