Details

Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts has published his independent review into Part 2 of the Transparency in Lobbying, Non-Party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Act 2014. The review follows a call for evidence and it has been laid before Parliament.

Third parties are organisations or individuals that are actively campaigning at elections but are not political parties or candidates. Lord Hodgson makes recommendations which provide a structure for open, vigorous debate, whilst providing disclosure and transparency to give citizens confidence in the integrity of our electoral system.
