We attend a range of events to meet customers and give advice and guidance on planting woodland. We also hold face-to-face and online training events and webinars on specific grant schemes and areas of forestry, that we encourage people to sign up to in advance.

We update this page regularly with new events.

Upcoming events

Woodland Creation Clinic (Suffolk)

Date: 14 March 2024

Workshop for farmers and landowners focusing on the business benefits of woodland creation. Come and chat to us 1 to 1 at the Woodland Creation Clinic.

East Lancashire trees and woodland advice drop-in

Date: 20 March 2024
Venue: Lowerhouse Cricket Club, 204 Lowerhouse Lane, Burnley, BB12 6LP

We will be joining Lancashire County Council, Woodland Trust and Ribble Rivers Trust with free drop-in advice for farmers and landowners. Pop in between 2pm to 7pm for a hot drink and a chat about woodland creation. Email treescapes@lancashire.gov.uk with name and contact details.

East Anglian Game & Country Fair (Suffolk)

Date: 27 to 28 April 2024

Well be on hand to discusswoodland creation, woodland and deer management and the benefits of woodland on your farm and the grants and incentives available. Read more about the Game & Country Fair.

Essex Young Farmers Show

Date: 19 May 2024

We will be joined by Thames Chase Community Forest and Essex County Council to discusstrees and woodland creation, woodland and deer management and the benefits of woodland. Book Essex Young Farmers Show.

Groundswell (Hertfordshire)

Date: 26 to 27 June 2024

Join us at Groundswell and discover how tree planting can support and improve biodiversity, soil health, provide protection for crops and livestock as well as improving water quality and mitigating flooding.

Great Yorkshire Show

Date: 9 to 12 July 2024

Join us in the Forestry Area at this years Great Yorkshire Show. Staff will be on hand to discuss wood creation, management, tree health and the grants and support available for farmers and landowners.

Tendring Show (Suffolk)

Date: 13 July 2024

Association of Professional Foresters (APF 2024) (Warwickshire)

Date: 19 to 21 September 2024

Come and talk to us at APF 2024 for advice and support on woodland creation, woodland management, how to reduce the threat from pests and diseases and see Forest Research demonstrating their work in their innovative mobile laboratory.
