Section 6A approved and under consideration schools contains details of:
academies and free schools that have approval
free schools that do not yet have approval under the academies/free school presumption section of the Education and Inspections Act 2006
It includes the:
date of decision
name of the local authority
proposed location of the school at the time of approval
phase of education
proposed opening date at the time of approval (which can change)

Updated 'Local authorities seeking proposers' to add a primary school in Cheshire West and Chester. Updated 'Section 6A approved and under consideration schools' to move Gloucester Special School from schools under consideration to schools approved.
Updated 'Local authorities seeking proposers': a primary school in Ipswich has been added.
Two primary school proposals are now under consideration in Staffordshire, at St Johns Grange, Lichfield and Burleyfields, Stafford. An all-through special school in Greenwich is also under consideration. Overstone Leys primary school in West Northamptonshire and an all-through special school in Eastleigh, in Hampshire, have been approved. We have removed the local authorities seeking proposers spreadsheets, as there are currently no entries.
Weston-super-Mare primary proposal, Ravensdale special school Mansfield proposal, and Harrogate special school proposal have been removed from 'Local authorities seeking proposers' and added to 'Section 6A approved and under consideration schools'.
