And as you reflect on the fundamental values of Nowruz peace, solidarity and reconciliation know that it is in the spirit of those values that the UK and Iran have taken important steps to develop our relationship over the past 12 months.
We have reopened our embassies and implemented a historic nuclear deal.
And both President Rouhani and I are committed to building on these ties for the benefit of us all.
For families and friends coming together to observe this important festival, this is a time both to reflect on the past year and to look forward to what lies ahead in 1395.
