The following measures apply to all processes and operations.

TheCOMAHregulations apply to establishments holding dangerous substances above certain quantities, known as thresholds.

The thresholds for dangerous substances at which the COMAH regulations apply can vary. It depends on the combination of quantities of dangerous substances you store on site.

Examples of dangerous substances include:

  • diesel and other petroleum products
  • LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) including propane and butane
  • raw and treated biogas

You must work out if theCOMAHregulations apply to your activities. To do this, check the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance on the COMAH regulations. This lists all the substances covered by the regulations.
