Details

The UK Government made an order under section 35 of the Scotland Act 1998 to prevent the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill from proceeding to Royal Assent. This decision was taken by the Secretary of State for Scotland and laid before the UK Parliament on 17 January 2023 .

The Scottish Government has petitioned for a Judicial Review.
