We are currently making improvements to our licensing forms.

The report your actions form on this page will change to a new format in early March 2025.

Once this happens, the current version of the form will no longer be available.

You may get a licence to kill or take wild birds if theres no other satisfactory way to prevent serious damage to your fishery or inland waters.

This licence applies to:

  • cormorants (use form A06)
  • goosanders
  • mergansers
  • herons

Theres a separate licence to protect fisheries from damage by otters.

Report your actions

You must report any actions you took using this licence. Use the online report form (LR06-07) on this page. When you submit the form, it will automatically be sent to Natural England.

If you cannot use the online report form, email wildlife@naturalengland.org.uk to ask for a paper copy. You can send or email your completed form to Natural England using the details on the form.

You must report within 14 days of your licence expiring, even if youve taken no action.

If you do not submit a report, Natural England may revoke (cancel) your licence and refuse future applications.
