The webinars are being hosted by Monitor, in partnership with NHS Trust Development Authority, NHS England and the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS).
Monitor will announce the dates and topics for the other webinars in the series over the coming weeks.
Urgent and emergency care resilience and capacity planning
Friday 19 September 2014, 12pm to 1pm
The first in the series will look at the benefits of including senior clinicians early in the streaming of patients referred from emergency care, ambulance and primary care.
Dr Taj Hassan, Vice President, College of Emergency Medicine, and Dr Vincent Connolly, Clinical Lead, Emergency Care Intensive Support Team, will give examples of good and effective consultant-led models of initial patient assessment within emergency departments. They will also explore the known benefits of such models, and look at the barriers to making this happen and how to overcome them.
Urgent and emergency care resilience and the use of effective data
Wednesday 24 September 2014, 12.30pm to 1.30pm
The second in the series will look at how the effective use of data can help to prepare for, and manage, system pressures. The session will discuss how to develop an evidence-based capacity plan.
You will have the opportunity to submit questions and comments during the webinar and we will put these to the speakers at the end of the sessions.
