You can also find out which medals can be claimed, all about entitlement, who can apply for medals and the process.

As well as giving advice and guidance on MOD records, the MOD Records Office will be providing 2 new services at this years exhibition:

  1. Service Records Search: Live searches will interrogate the 6 million service records held by the MOD. These searches will identify and confirm which records are held by the MOD

  2. Service Record Interpretation: If you already have a service record, then John Reynolds from the MOD Records Office, Stuart Hadaway from the Air Historical Branch and Sue Pass or Clive Clarke from the TNT Navy Search Service will be on hand to explain what the records mean.

The MOD Records Office holds a vast collection of records and is responsible for determining which records should be preserved permanently for the nation. These records are then transferred to The National Archive where the public may access them. Visitors to the MODs stand are being invited to give their views on how these records can be made more widely available to the public.
