This notice should be read with the merchant shipping (maritime labour convention) (medical certification) regulations 2010 as amended and the merchant shipping (work in fishing) (medical certification) regulations 2018 and replaces in part MSN 1839(M)

Also includes the addition of a newly approved CAD Testing Centre. The address and contact details for the new MCA CAD Test Centre can be found in Annex B along with the details of the other approved CAD Test Centres.

Amendment 2 has been updated to reflect the 10m or less fishers medical exemption as outlined within MSN 1915 (F) Merchant Shipping (Work in Fishing Convention) (Medical Certification) Regulations 2018 Exemption.

Addendum 1 Provides supplementary information on the medical fitness standards to which approval doctors and medical referees must have regard when considering the fitness of existing fishermen eligible for grandfather rights under MIN 575(F).

This Addendum will be withdrawn on 30 April 2024.
