What HM Land Registry does

Start with our short (1:46) video explaining what we do, the information we hold and how we work on a day-to-day basis:

How HM Land Registry fits into the conveyancing process

We play our part throughout the conveyancing process. Our short video (2:47) explains this in more detail, from providing estate agents with data to help them market a property, right through to registering the sale:

Title register

Here we look at the 3 parts that usually make up a title register the property, proprietorship and charge registers.

On-demand application workshop

Our application workshop has been designed with customers to help you submit quality applications to HM Land Registry and avoid requests for information (requisitions), which can significantly delay the registration process.

We send a requisition when we need clarification or more information about something in your application, so its worth getting it right first time.

We have split the workshop into five individual modules, so you can cover what you need, when you need it.

As well as how to avoid requests for information, we explore forms and deeds, execution, restrictions in the register and variations in names. Finally, theres a chance to think like a caseworker would you send a requisition?

Visit the workshop on our Go To Webinar platform.

Fees guidance

Our fee calculator will help you to identify the cost of each application type.

The fees flowchart helps with Scale 2 applications for transfers or assents for no monetary consideration, as these are not currently covered by the calculator.

The Registration Services fees guidance provides full details of our fees.
