Details

This guidance tells Home Office caseworkers how to assess applications to the disregards and pardons scheme against the conditions set out in sections 92 to 101 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 and sections 164 to 167 of the Policing and Crime Act 2017.

It applies to the extended scheme, which was introduced by sections 194 to 195 of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Act 2022, which amended the Protection of Freedoms Act and came into force on 13 June 2023.
