The guidance addresses the implementation of the Concordat to Support Research Integrity within a government context.

Departmental Chief Scientific Advisers (CSAs), Departmental Directors of Analysis (DDANs) and Analysis Function Heads of Profession have signed up to the principles of the Concordat in relation to research conducted or commissioned by government.

The Concordat to Support Research Integrity requires each government department or body to nominate officials to take on the roles of named senior member of staff to oversee research integrity and named member of staff who will act as the first point of contact.
