Form: RLE1 form and guidance

You should use the Rural Payments service to transfer or remove land as its the quickest and safest route to use.

You may be unable to use the Rural Payments service to transfer or remove land if:

  • your holding type is shown as tenant
  • less than 100% of the land parcel is owned

If this information is incorrect, you should use the Change land tenure form to correct this information. You will then be able to use the Rural Payments service to transfer or remove the land parcel.

If you are unable to use the Rural Payments service, you should use a Rural Land and Entitlements RLE1 form. You can complete the form on paper or electronically. Use the electronic route if possible, so we receive your form quicker.

We cannot accept handwritten RLE1 forms that are scanned and returned as an email attachment.

Use the RLE1 guidance 2024 to help you complete the form.
