This report sets out the findings of vehicle and component testing during 2023.
The tests make sure new products put on the UK market meet legal obligations.
Theyre carried out by the Vehicle Market Surveillance Unit, part of the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.
This years testing programme checked:
- advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)
- brake pads
- catalytic converters (CATs) and diesel particulate filters (DPFs)
- certificates of conformity
- electrically assisted pedal cycles
- e-scooters
- motorcycle exhaust systems and silencers
- motorcycle helmets and eye protection
- non-road mobile machinery (NRMM)
- small trailers
- tyres
- vehicle alterations
