The role of the DPTAC working groups is to discuss the development of transport policies, and the delivery of those policies with DfT officials. The groups help to formulate DPTACs advice.

DPTAC members and working groups provide advice to the department in a structured way.

  1. An initial meeting will take place to discuss a policy issue, DPTAC will formulate formal advice on the issue.
  2. DPTAC provides further advice if a policy develops or changes. In this case, a review meeting will take place and updated advice will be provided.
