The government consulted on proposals to continue temporary retire and return easements in the NHS Pension Scheme to 31 March 2023.

Consultation respondents argued that the suspension of Special Class Status abatement should be extended for longer than was initially proposed. Our consultation response confirms that the government will extend the suspension of Special Class Status abatement to 31 March 2025.
