The new system is designed to ensure people will always be better off in work. People claiming Universal Credit are significantly more likely to find employment than those on Jobseekers Allowance. For the first time ever, we are also supporting claimants to earn more and progress in their careers.

Today, single jobseekers will be able to claim Universal Credit in:

  • Stockwell
  • Kennington Park
  • Streatham
  • Clapham Common
  • Lewisham
  • Forest Hill
  • Bexleyheath
  • Willenhall
  • Middlesbrough East
  • Middlesbrough
  • Aldershot
  • Alton
  • Bordon
  • Petersfield
  • Farnborough
  • Bilston
  • Wolverhampton, Chapel Court
  • Wolverhampton, Molineux House
