Universal Credit is now available in over 76% of all jobcentres across the country, making work pay and helping people into work faster.

The new system is designed to ensure people will be better off in work. People claiming Universal Credit are significantly more likely to find employment than those on Jobseekers Allowance and for the first time ever, we are supporting claimants to earn more and progress in their careers.

Today, single jobseekers will be able to claim Universal Credit in:

  • Brighton
  • Hove
  • Kirkintilloch
  • Peterborough
