Funding allocations for local transport authorities to provide bus service improvements throughout England, excluding London.

The funding comprises:

  • more than 1 billion to deliver local long-term vision for bus services as set out in bus service improvement plans (BSIPs) in 2022 to 2025 the first phase of BSIP funding
  • 160 million to improve fares and services, of which 80 million inBSIP+ funding is available in 2023/24 and the remaining 80 million in 2024/25 the second phase of BSIP funding
  • a further 150 million for 2024/25 to deliver long-term bus service improvements, the first instalment of a total of 1 billion as part of Network North the third phase of BSIP funding
