National Statistics: Travel time measures for the Strategic Road Network and local ‘A’ roads: July 2022 to June 2023

Details

On the Strategic Road Network (SRN) for the year ending June 2023, the average delay is estimated to be 9.9 seconds per vehicle per mile (spvpm), compared to free flow, an 11.2% increase on year ending June 2022.

The average speed is estimated to be 57.6 mph for the year ending June 2023, down 1.5% from June 2022.

On local A roads for the year ending June 2023, the average delay is estimated to be 46.7 seconds per vehicle per mile (spvpm) compared to free flow. This is up 2.0% on year ending June 2022.

The average speed is estimated to be 23.3 mph for the year ending June 2023, down 2.1% on year ending June 2022.
