The TUBA software undertakes the economic appraisal of transport schemes in accordance with the Department for Transports cost benefit analysis guidance

The software implements a willingness to pay approach to economic appraisal for multi-modal schemes with fixed or variable demand.

The current version of TUBA is 1.9.13 as of August 2019 and was released by Atkins Limited in July 2019 on behalf of the Department for Transport.

Purchasing TUBA

All prices exclude VAT, which will be applied at the prevailing rate where appropriate.

Licence details

The licence enables the use of the software for an unlimited period of time and, within the first 12 months of purchase, access to:

  • technical support
  • updates to the software

A licence entitles a user to install multiple copies of the TUBA software at a single site.

Additional copies, for use at other sites, may be obtained at a discounted rate if purchased as part of the same transaction.

An educational licence must only be used for the educational purposes. Educational organisation must purchase a commercial licence if undertaking paid research

Payment

There are 2 payment options:

  • send us an official purchase order, software is dispatched within 2 working days, your invoice must be paid within 30 days of receipt

or

  • ask us to issue an invoice, software is dispatched after full payment, this option must be used for non-UK orders

  6. the location at which the software will be installed

Users with a current TUBA licence may download the software with their user ID and password via the link above
