National Park Authorities, Broads Authority & Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty Conservation Boards appointments

The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Elizabeth Truss has made new appointments to Englands National Park Authorities & the Broads Authority and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty Conservation Boards. Each appointment will take effect from 1st April 2015.

National Park Authority members have a primary responsibility to ensure that the Authority furthers the statutory purposes of the Park.

Four new members have been appointed for four-year terms on the following National Park Authorities and Broads Authority:

  • Broads Authority - Matthew Bradbury and John Ash
  • Lake District - Stephen Curl
  • Peak District - Penny Anderson

Secretary of State members on Conservation Boards have a primary responsibility to ensure that the Conservation Board furthers the statutory AONB purposes as set out in the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000.

Four new members have been appointed for three-year terms on the following Conservation Boards:

  • Chilterns Conservation Board Sue Holden
  • Cotswolds Conservation Board Hedley Ringrose, Diane Crone and Ann Holland.

Three existing members of two Conservation Boards have also been re-appointed for three-years.

  • Chilterns Conservation Board - Ray Payne
  • Cotswolds Conservation Board - Mark OSullivan and Richard Wakeford
