The Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) withdrew funding approval, for learners aged 16 and above, from qualifications:
- in the sector subject area (SSA)ICT(except essential digital skills qualifications)
- in otherSSAs not linked to the application of digital skills for:
- a specific occupational sector, or
- a specific entry level job role
We withdrew funding for these qualifications:
- up to level 1 from August 2021 - this did not include functional skills qualifications (FSQs) in ICT
- at level 2 from August 2022
We withdrew funding for FSQs in ICT at entry level and level 1 from August 2023.
