The report explains the results of the 2019 teacher workload survey. It explores whether there have been any changes in self-reported working hours and perceptions of workload since 2016.

The brief gives an overview of the findings.

The technical report gives more detail about the data and design of the survey.

The teacher workload survey asks teachers, middle leaders and senior leaders across schools in England about self-reported working hours and attitudes to teacher workload.
