This report sets out the findings of the commissioners review of the leadership necessary for securing and sustaining improvement in Solihull, focusing on all 3 lead safeguarding partners:
- local authority
- Integrated Care Board
- Chief Officer of police
It makes recommendations for the improvement of childrens social care services in Solihull to:
- Department for Education
- Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council
- Solihull Local Safeguarding Childrens Partnership
It follows:
- a statutory direction to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council issued in November 2022
- an Ofsted inspection report of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council local authority childrens services published in January 2023 that judged services to be inadequate
