Details

The further education (FE) capital transformation programme is providing 1.5 billion to:

  • upgrade and transform the FE college estate
  • significantly reduce the proportion of FE college estate not fit for purpose or in unsatisfactory condition

The final stage of the FE capital transformation funding is through an allocation of approximately 286 million to eligible FE colleges and designated institutions. Information about the previous stages of funding is available.

Eligible colleges should spend this funding on capital projects, prioritising condition improvement of their estate. The spend guidance provides detailed information about what eligible colleges can use the funding for.

The allocation methodology explains the method we have used to calculate the funding.
