Technology Products 2 (RM3733) is now live offering customers a flexible and compliant route to market for all their commodity technology product needs. Whether it is a single cable or an entire corporate infrastructure TP2 aims to be the agreement of choice for the whole of the public sector.

The agreement is the result of unprecedented levels of pre-market engagement with customers and suppliers. By listening to their feedback, we have designed a scope and structure which meets the needs of our buyers and suppliers even better than the current agreement.

Improvements include:

  • dynamic direct award catalogue
  • reseller lots for hardware, software and combined solutions
  • simplified terms and conditions for user friendliness
  • direct contracting with manufacturers for aggregated hardware requirements

Terry Betts, managing director of one of the successful suppliers on lots 1, 2 and 3 for hardware, software and combined hardware and software said:

Its one of the best tenders weve seen from the government. They followed a process and they got it in on time before the expiry of the old framework.

Chris Swani, public sector director of one of the successful suppliers on lot 2 for software added:

They had a lot of supplier engagement, which was all very well attended, so we are happy with the process.

Going forward, we are committed to continued engagement and will bring buyers and suppliers together through monthly Tech Reference Groups, regular newsletters offering market insight, data transparency with spend league tables and details of all the latest deals, including an annual flash sale every March and quarterly eAuctions.

A programme of events is also being rolled out across the UK in November and December for buyers interested in finding out more about using the new agreement.
