Competition Markets Authority
7 September 2023: The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has launched a review into the veterinary services market for household pets. By household pets we mean small animals such as dogs, cats and rabbits and not large animals such as horses and ponies.
The CMA will be exploring how well the market is working for pet owners who are paying for veterinary services. We are also interested to hear from vets and others that work in vet practices about their experiences of providing veterinary services.
Share your thoughts on the veterinary services market for pets. We would especially like to hear from:
- pet owners
- people who work in veterinary practices
- people who supply products and services to the veterinary services market
