The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero wrote to the CMA in March 2024 asking it to consider carrying out a review of competition in the home heating market. The CMA has acknowledged the Secretary of States concerns and has committed to considering this work in the second half of 2024, consistent with its Annual Plan 2024 to 2025 medium term priority to take action to help accelerate the UKs transition to a net zero economy.
