On Monday 4 March 2024, the government introduced new laws which affect the Company Names Tribunal.

The consideration of similarity is extended to include use outside of the UK, the qualifying criteria for joining co-respondents is expanded, and section 69(4)(b) (the operating defence) is repealed.
