Professor David Main, Chair of the Animals in Science Committee, wrote to Andrew Griffith, Minister for Science, Research and Innovation, on 9 April 2024.

He gave the committees support for the announcements in the animal testing debate in the House of Commons on 19 February 2024. They included a plan to reduce reliance on the use of animals in science.

He offered the committees expertise to implement the announcements.
