Fish products exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificate GBHC400

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for live bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods (LBM).

Certificate GBHC401

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model official certificate for the entry into Great Britain, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man for placing on the market of fishery products (FP).

Certificate GBHC402

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Model health certificate for fishery products caught by vessels flying the flag of a member state and transferred in third countries with or without storage (FPT).

Certificate GBHC403

Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.

Certificate to be signed by the captain accompanying frozen fishery products when entering Great Britain for placing on the market directly from a freezer, reefer or factory vessel (CCFP).

Certificate GBHC202

Use this certificate from 21 June 2021.

Model health certificate for fishery products for human consumption (NZ) from New Zealand.

  1. All old versions of certificates have been removed.

  2. We have updated certificate GBHC400, GBHX401, GBHC402 and GBHC403.We have also updated the 'use from' dates for all fish product certificates. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

  3. We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.

  4. Updated the accepted until dates in the version history for GBHC053E and GBHC080E.

  5. Certificates GBHC053E, GBHC080E, BHC081E and GBHC082E should be used from 31 December 2023.

  6. Updated certificates GBHC053E, GBHC053X, GBHC080E, GBHC080X and the version history.

  7. Updated information about version 2.1 of certificate GBHC080X to show that it should be accepted until 1 November 2022.

  8. We've updated certificates GBHC053X, GBHC080X, GBHC081X and GBHC082X.

  9. The following certificates will come into use on 1 November 2022: GBHC053E, GBHC080E, GBHC081E and GBHC082E .

  10. Added a version history of changes to model health certificates.

  11. Changed the date that some of the forms should be used to 1 July 2022.

  12. Published model health certificate: fishery products for human consumption (NZ) from New Zealand GBHC202.

  13. Updated model health certificates GBHC080E and GBHC080X.

  14. Updated fishery products certificates GBHC080X and GBHC080E.

  15. Updated certificates for fishery products from the EU 2019-628 (GBHC080E) and fishery products from non-EU countries 2019/628 (GBHC080X).

  16. Edited the dates for all health certificates that were previously to be used by 1 April 2021. The following certificates will now come into use from 1 October 2021: UK-HC-080-E, UK-HC-081-E, UK-HC-082-E, UK-HC-053-E
