Details

Fish oil exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.

Certificates GBHC139X and GBHC520

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC139X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC520 from 30 April 2024.

EU countries must use certificate GBHC520 from 31 January 2024.

Model health certificate for fish oil not intended for human consumption to be used as feed material or for purposes outside the feed chain (FO).

  1. We have updated the 'use from' date for certificate GBHC520. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

  2. We have added certificate GBHC520 FO: Fish Oil and updated the version history.

  3. We have removed all EU certificates ending in E for fish oil. We are currently in the process of replacing these with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.

  4. Certificate GBHC139E should now be used from 31 December 2023. It was previously due to come into effect on 1 July 2022.
