Memorandum of understanding setting out the agreement between Department for Transport and the city of Los Angeles to cooperate to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector.

The agreement sets goals for both parties to collaborate on issues of transport policy, regulation and innovation with regard to:

  • decarbonisation
  • innovation
  • regulatory best practice exchange
  • testing approaches
  • technology demonstration

The agreement was signed on 18 November 2021 as part of the Future of Transport programme.
