Academy for Justice Commissioning

July 22
00:00 2014

This seminar focused on why the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) are reforming welfare and the case for social justice.

It featured Kirsty Scholefield, Ex-offender Employment Policy Lead in the Disadvantaged Groups Team at the Department for Work and Pensions.

Kirsty discussed the changes being made and how they relate to the offending population (Work Programme, Transforming Rehabilitation, Universal Credit). She also highlighted where offenders fit into the story and stimulated discussion about the direction DWP needs to take in terms of employment support.
