It is now one year since this tragic accident and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the pilot who was fatally injured.
This statement provides an update on the ongoing AAIB investigation into an accident involving the Flight Design CT2K aircraft, G-CBDJ, which had a loss of control during landing at Beccles Airfield, Suffolk, on 24 March 2022.
The investigation is nearly complete and the final report into the accident is expected to be published in the Spring of 2023.
