CoRWM is holding a plenary meeting on Wednesday, 16th September 2015 in Edinburgh, Scotland and welcomes the public to observe. Come along to meet the Committee and observe how the committee scrutinizes the management of Higher Activity Radioactive Waste in the UK.
It’s CoRWM role to scrutinize the implementation of the UK government and the Devolved Administrations’ policies for management of nuclear High Activity Waste and also the waste policies of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). The UK Government favours a policy of disposal in a deep Geological Disposal Facility (GDF).
Members of the Committee have a wide range of knowledge and experience of nuclear waste management issues, so the public is encouraged to use this opportunity to learn how the committee works and ask questions related to their meeting at the end of the session.
The meeting will be held at The Novotel Edinburgh Centre, 80 Lauriston Place, Edinburgh, Lothian, EH3 9DE, United Kingdom from 1000 to 1400.
