I warmly welcome the National Crime Agency’s “go-live” in Northern Ireland today. The NCA is now able to offer vital protection from serious and organised crime to the people of Northern Ireland. This has been achieved through months of intensive work led by DOJ, with crucial engagement from the Home Office, NIO, NCA, PSNI and NI parties. It extends important protections while ensuring principles of local accountability are respected.
