If you live in the Channel Islands, Isle of Man or a British Overseas Territory

Use this form if you need to prove to the authorities in your home country that you have not become a British citizen.

If you live elsewhere

If you live elsewhere, apply online.

You can get help with your online application if you are in the UK and you do not have the appropriate access, skills or confidence to complete an online immigration application form.

You can also apply using this form if you prefer.

How to complete the form

Read the nationality forms guide to help you fill in the form.

Send the form, payment slip (including the fee) and your documents to:

  • the Governor of the territory if you are in a British Overseas Territory
  • UK Visas and Immigration at the following postal address if you live elsewhere:
