If youre a full-time student in higher education and an adult depends on you financially, you can apply for an Adult Dependants Grant of up to:
- 3,545 for the 2025 to 2026 academic year
- 3,438 for the 2024 to 2025 academic year
The grant:
- does not have to be paid back
- is paid on top of your other student finance
You may have to pay back any money you are overpaid because of a change in your circumstances or course.
You cannot get an Adult Dependants Grant if youre getting a Postgraduate Loan.
