Guidance: Farmers: how to claim funding to improve animal health and welfare

You can claim funding if you have set up a Get funding to improve animal health and welfare (IAHW) agreement before the vet visit. The vet will give you a summary of the animal health and welfare review or endemic disease follow-up.

When to claim

The service ends on 19 June 2027. Your review and follow-up visits must be done by then.You must submit your claims by 19 September 2027.

Your review claim must be approved before you claim for the resulting follow-up. You must have followed the guidance on timing of reviews and follow-ups.
