The deadline for registering for the seminar ‘REACH and CLP enforcement: measurement and related issues for Public Analysts and Enforcement Authorities’ is Monday 2 March 2015.
The seminar features discussions on checking compliance with REACH and CLP in the laboratory and the role of safety data sheets, including common errors in those published. Derek Craston, the UK Government Chemist, will outline the importance of measurement science and technology in effective regulation and a representative from the Environment Agency will discuss the role of the Environment Agency in enforcing REACH.
A representative from a Public Analyst’s Laboratory will highlight some of the practical issues facing local authorities in enforcing and monitoring REACH and CLP, and Mark Selby, from Denehurst Chemical Safety, will highlight the practicalities that industry faces before the day concludes with an open discussion session.
