It is now one year since this tragic accident and our thoughts are with the family of the person who was fatally injured and with all of those affected. This statement provides an update on the ongoing AAIB investigation into the accident involving Sikorsky S-92A helicopter, G-MCGY, in which downwash from the landing helicopter resulted in the fatality at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth, Devon, on 4 March 2022.
This investigation is nearly complete and the final report into the circumstances is expected to be published this year.
